We are in the process of expanding our Milan Michigan faclity. We are adding fifteen 18,300 gallon tanks to increase our capacity and the add addtional available products. This project should be completed the end of 2023.

Reliance Fluid Technologies (RTF) Achieves PQIA Motor Oil Supplier Certification

METUCHEN, N.J., December 2, 2019 / -- The Petroleum Quality Institute of America (PQIA), an independent organization with a mission to serve consumers of lubricants by testing and reporting on the quality and integrity of lubricants in the marketplace, today announced that Reliance Fluid Technologies (RFT) has completed the rigorous PQIA Motor Oil Certification Process, and is now a PQIA Certified Motor Oil Supplier. The program certifies the quality management practices, product integrity, and labeling of motor oils marketed by lubricant manufacturers and distributors.

"We are very pleased of this accomplishment," said RTF’s president, John Garguiolo. “PQIA Certification is a reflection of RTF’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement, and meeting and exceeding our customer’s requirements and expectations. This prestigious achievement certifies that RTF’s blending and packaging practices and procedures have been audited by PQIA and our motor oil products and labels comply with PQIA’s rigorous requirements.”

To obtain certification, lubricant suppliers and marketers must demonstrate their commitment to quality in raw materials (i.e. base oils, additives), blending practices and procedures, quality control and batch testing, sample retains, labeling, packaging, shipping, licensing and certification, and finished product quality.

According to Thomas F. Glenn, President of PQIA, "The program is structured to help assure lubricant manufacturers and distributors meet PQIA's standards, the requirements set forth by the American Petroleum Institute (API), the American Chemistry Council (ACC), and government regulations as they pertain to the manufacturing and labeling of motor oils." In addition to determining if products are made right, Glenn says, "The PQIA Certification Program is intended to help assure the products made are right for consumers. This means the lubricants meet claimed specifications, are not labeled deceptively, display appropriate API Service Symbols and/or Certification Marks, and, include any cautionary statements specified in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Standard J183."

Glenn adds, "PQIA Certified Suppliers agree to the PQIA Code of Ethical Business Conduct (CODE), provide access to manufacturing and packaging facilities for PQIA plant audits and random and periodic sampling and testing of bulk and packaged lubricants."

Reliance Fluid Technologies Starts Production in Michigan to Service Midwest, and Continues Expansion in North East and Canada

Reliance Fluid Technologies, LLC, a leading independent lubricant manufacturer headquartered in Niagara Falls, NY is well underway with phase three of its Northeast & Canada plant expansion along with starting production at its newly acquired/updated Milan, Michigan Midwest region blending plant.

John Garguiolo, President of Reliance Fluid Technologies, said "this expansion will support our ongoing growth while better supporting the growing needs of our client's businesses." After experiencing the efficiencies and product quality of the technology from the ten original 35,000-gallon blenders, Reliance is now adding ten additional 35,000-gallon Pulse Air blenders for a total of 20 at the Niagara facility. Once the ten tanks are installed a second truck scale will be installed to speed up loading efficiency. In addition, Reliance is expanding its laboratory and bringing in new equipment at both locations to help increase its testing capabilities.


RFT's Milan Michigan Plant

The Michigan facility is located at 415 Squires Drive in the City of Milan, South of Ann Arbor. The plant is equipped with multiple 30,000-gallon and smaller capacity blenders to complement Reliance's current business and help it continue to grow. The Milan site is serviced by rail, as is the Reliance facility in Niagara Falls, with the ability to load multiple bulk tankers at once.

Along with opening this new facility, Reliance is adding to its fleet with multiple compartment rail cars and jumbo transport tankers with capacities ranging from 7,000 gallons up to 13,000 gallons. Garguiolo said, "Our goal is to service our customers where they need it and when they need it." He adds, "Reliance has grown from a handful of employees to a staff of over 50. Our team is committed to being the best and take pride in how well we service and partner with our growing clients."

Reliance Fluid Technologies One of the first ILMA Members to Officially Upgrade to SN Plus

Reliance Fluid Technologies, LLC, an independent lubricant manufacturer based out of Niagara Falls, NY has become one of the first ILMA members to officially upgrade their complete passenger car motor oils (PCMO) line to meet the new upcoming SN Plus specification. This new technology addresses modern engine problems associated with the LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition) which is being identified with GDI (gasoline direct injection) and turbochargered engines.

PulseAir Blenders Are Up and Blending

The installation of our ten 35,000 gallon blenders are now complete. When the first two blenders were put into service even we were overwhelmed with the reduced blending time needed to bring our product into full specification. These new blenders will help us achieve new efficiences for blending, daily volume, scheduling and shipping. Reliance Fuild Technologies, LLC will continue to expand to help us service our customers for the present and future.

2016 Plant Expansion Update

The installation of our 35,000 gallon blenders is almost complete. The last two have been put into place and will be insulated and piped over the next few months. Now that we have this portion finished we will begin to install our second truck loading scale which will be located right next to these blenders. These new blenders will help us achieve new efficiences for blending, scheduling and shipping. Reliance Fuild Technologies, LLC will continue to expand to help us service our customers for the present and future.

2016 Plant Expansion-Phase One

We at Reliance Fuild Technologies, LLC are very excited to announce that phase one of our plant expansion has begun. We are in the process of installing ten 35,000 gallon custom built blending tanks utlizing energy efficient Pulsair Blending Systems. The first two blenders were delivered and installed in early November, the second two in January 2016 and two more were just installed the last week of March 2016. The remaining four are currently being built with expected delivery, installation and startup in the early summer of 2016. As part of this first phase we will be building a new truck loading rack on scales which will provide accurate and efficient loading of products.
